Jalen King

Jalen is one of my favourite people to paint and draw- there is something about him and his spirit that is easy to capture and hold onto, that makes it obvious that it is him-even when he becomes a cartoon :)

Thanks King family! You are great models for this kind of thing! :)

Bootcamp laughter

This year i have a new style of painting. As i am studying Art Production which is pre tertiary art i need to keep everything i do all year in the same style.
After a LOT of encouragement from my art teacher and the other pre t art teacher i decided to use the same style as the painting i did of the King family last year. My art teacher loves the style and encouraged me to go out of what i normally do and create some huge paintings. She loves what i am doing and is always SUPER excited when i come up with a new idea- I have some really exciting ones planned!!!
And so my first piece ended up as the painting below. It is: (from left to right) Sarah Parsons, Myself and Lisa King. It was taken from my favourite photo ever which can be viewed here.

Mrs Crawford (My art teacher) told me on Thursday that my report is the best one she has written for her seniors- therefore making me the top of the class. (If i can say that without sounding stuck up!)
And so, this is my Art Blog and i will be sharing a new piece occasionally. Although not all of my new pieces as that would leave nothing to be a surprise at my end of year exhibition in November! =P
What does everyone think?? I would love to have heaps of comments- good and bad. To see all different perspectives and opinions on what i paint. So, i would love to hear from YOU!
